MATT WILDE

Matt Wilde is a Manchester-born keyboard player and producer whose music blends jazz-inspired keys, rich harmonies and pocketed drums.

Rapidly becoming one of the artists to look out for amongst the resurgence of jazz and hip hop influenced music in the UK, his music has been supported by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Deb Grant, Tom Ravenscroft (BBC R6), Jamie Cullum (BBC R2), Jazz FM and more, as well as a host of Spotify and Apple Music editorial - with his catalogue receiving 700k monthly streams across the two platforms alone.

2023 saw the release of his extraordinary debut LP ‘Hello World’. Centred around his lyrical, virtuosic and jazz-leaning keys, the album is an audio-catalogue of personal experiences, thoughts and feelings, shared with honesty and curiosity for the human condition. The album’s rich melodies, crisp instrumentation and meditative grooves denote a tender illustration of the human experience, finding and celebrating the simple and beautiful moments of life.

2024 will see Matt bring his music to life with a stunning, new full-band performance. Welcoming fellow Manchester musicians into the fold, Matt has put together a quartet which possesses prodigious levels of talent, to perform a dynamic set featuring originals as well as explorative, improvised jams. Their groove-packed live show debuts with headline dates at The Lower Third in London and Band on the Wall in Manchester in early Spring, with festivals to follow in the summer. Alongside live sets, Matt will continue to work his magic in the studio, working on new releases to drop later in the year and beyond.
